About The Trail
The Oregon Trail served as the most practical route to the west. It extended 2,000 miles from Missouri to Oregon City, Oregon. At it's earliest stage it was composed of many rivers and other land marks to guide travelers to the west. At first travelers could easily get detoured but once the great flood of pioneers came, they left behind an exhuasted path for future travelers to follow.
